Team Camp

TEAM CAMP - Shock Team Camps combine an individual skills camp with the games of a regular team camp. This innovative camp experience is what coaches all over the state have been asking for. The individual skills sessions will focus on the “Art of Shooting” training, intense ball handling reps, and team drills. Players will then be broken into individual positions for positional training. Post Players will work on positioning, footwork, and post moves; guards will work on half court moves and movements as well as transition skills. Once the morning skills are complete its time to hook it up and play. Teams will play 2-3 games each day on top of all the training the players receive.
Being affiliated with the Tulsa Shock it’s not uncommon to see a WNBA player or two show up and talk with all the teams and campers on what it takes to take their games to the next level.
Some of the State Tournament teams who have attended team camp are Millwood, Snyder, Thomas, Hammon, Lomega, Sulphur, Shawnee, Calumet as well as many other teams taking their game to the next level.

What they say:
Daisha started basketball with the Shock the summer of her 7th grade year. She had some basic skills and was pretty athletic but was not where she needed to be in order to succeed with high school basketball. She started taking speed and agility classes, shooting classes, and treadmill and improved immensely in every area. She had more stamina during the games, her footwork was much better, and her shooting and free throws looked 100% better even though it was still hard to get her to shoot. Since her ball handling skills were even better because of working with Joe and Shane, she was more focused on driving the ball in and getting assists. Daisha went on to start on her high school basketball team her Sophomore through Senior years. She was then offered a full scholarship to Oklahoma Christian College, where she is now a Freshman. She currently is 1 of 5 freshman and starting as a guard. We give all of the credit for her success to the Shock. Without the hard workouts and various classes that they provide not to mention the privates, Daisha would not be where she is today. She loves Oklahoma Christian and has been very successful there so far!!
