Speed & Agility - The difference between winning and losing.
As with all sports, speed and agility is most often the difference maker. Some believe you can’t teach speed but, at F5 we know you CAN teach speed!
Just like technology, athlete training is always evolving. Our speed and agility program is centered around the philosophy of proper fundamentals and technique. Our program will teach you how to get your body in the proper position and how to get it to react adequately. This alone makes an athlete faster, or as we say, more efficient.
The components of our program are: foot quickness, lateral movements (agility), power, balance, reaction, and of course speed. Indirectly, these training components make the athletes faster, quicker, and more ex-plosive.
FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, SOCCER, SOFTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, TRACK, AND YES, BASKETBALL...

What they say:
Coming into the Shock in 7th grade I really did not know what to expect. All the teams I played on before were always just thrown together last minute and disorganized. I always saw different levels of Shock teams at tournaments and wondered what it would be like to play for them. In 7th grade I decided to go to a practice and see what it was all about. Right off the bat as I played with the girls, I realized that it was more than just basketball. It was like being with a second family. They took me in and treated me like I had been with the program for years. As I played and trained with them I learned so much. From simple footwork, to ball-handling, and helping my shot change tremendously. All the training helped me to become a better shooter and a better defensive player. Playing with the Shock not only helped me on the court but off the court also. No matter where we were and what tournament we played in, coaches always found a way to have church on Sunday's. That helped me learn more about the Lord and helped me with my decision in where to go to college. Playing with the Shock throughout the years helped me to become a college athlete and helped me get to the college I wanted to be at. Overall I don't think I would be where I am now, without them.
